Preparing students to ace that first interview, succeed in their job or internship, and effectively use this early professional development in their college applications.

I love learning about what makes each student unique, discovering their strengths, and helping them connect to a meaningful and realistic career path.

What is the Birkman Personality Assessment add-on?
For an additional cost, students gain access to our Personality Assessment Coaching package. This includes the Birkman Method assessment, followed by a personalized report of insights on the student's strengths, interests, job search, interviewing tips, a customized career report, and more! This package also provides a group coaching session with a trained facilitator to explore personality types in the workplace, and an additional 1-on-1 coaching session to deep-dive into the student's unique report insights.
Who are our coaches?
Students will work with AscentUP's team of veteran career coaches, who have earned their stripes working as college career advisors, admissions consultants, recruiters, and managers.
How does the bootcamp help students get a summer internship/job?
We begin with introducing students to job search and application techniques like resume-building, interviewing, and networking. Our coaches provide feedback and work with students on tailored materials and job/internship searches.
A second key component, is that we work to connect each student with experienced professionals (from their own network or ours!) working in their field(s) of interest who can give them the inside scoop, give job-specific tips on success strategies, and potentially open additional doors for summer/future opportunities. We cannot guarantee an internship but will do everything we can to help support them, starting with teaching them the skills to find and build their own professional networks.

How can parents get updates on their student's progress?
Our coaching team will provide two formal progress reports throughout the program. Additionally, we are constantly in contact with the EWS team, and are available for ongoing dialogue to support individual students at all stages of the program. Parents are welcome to contact either the EWS program coordinators or the AscentUP team at any time.
