Day 1: Welcome, IT & HR Setup, Ascent Overview 

Today, you'll spend time with Ralph from IT and Chloe from HR, who will assist you in getting everything set up with your Ascent essentials. You should be having lunch with Avery, our Product Engineer and later in the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to meet Scott, AscentUP's Senior Learning Designer.

Your primary focus for today is to:
 Get set up 
 Connect with a couple of team members
 Start to get comfortable 

Day 2: Policy & Procedure Training + Time with Allie

Today, you'll focus on essential policies and procedures while gaining insights from Allie, our GM & SVP.

Keep an eye out in your email for your HR training modules - you'll start with your Information Security training, then the rest of the trainings will unlock. 

Your primary focus for today is to:
  Start your HR Training Modules 
  Review the Employee Handbook 
  Gain Executive Insights 
  Have Fun!

Day 3: Policy & Procedure Training + Team Intros

Today, you'll continue your training on policies and procedures while getting to know more of your teammates.

Your primary focus for today is to:
 Continue your HR training modules
 Meet more team members 

Also carve out some time to review a doc I share with everyone I work with called "
Things to Know About Working with Andrea." It may be helpful to review it before we meet so you can ask questions and bring some of your own things to share about working with you!

Day 4: Complete HR Training + Get to Know AscentUP

Today, you'll start to familiarize yourself with the whole team and our products. You should start to wrap up any HR trainings you've been assigned so you can shift focus next week to all things AUP!

 Begin Learning About AscentUP (AUP)

Day 5: Product Familiarization - Accelerate

Today, you'll work through some AscentUP Training. This training path is assigned as optional to all new hires. It's great because it provides some professional basics while also giving you a sense of what we offer and how users experience our product.

Day 6: Product Familiarization - AUP Bridge Program

The AscentUP Bridge Program is our #1 priority and focus as a team right now. This is formerly our "AscentUP Internship Program" and we are getting ready to relaunch the program in the next couple of weeks - implementing learnings from our pilot program in spring/summer.  

Most of this is currently under construction so it may look incomplete or feel very different than the UX you've experiences so far.

Day 7: Product Familiarization - College, Bootcamp, and Amplify

Today, you'll get the chance to check out some of our other experiences.

Amplify will look a lot like the training path you completed as a part of your AscentUP Training - the primary difference is that there are some additional courses that cover "how to get a job" - this path is live with commercial partners and we are piloting it with some bootcamp partners. 

Day 8: Brand & Marketing

We are only about a year old and we didn't even land on the program name of AscentUP until a handful of months ago. Our brand and marketing assets have gone through a handful of iterations as we've been evolving. 

These resources are meant to be a jumping off point to give you a sense of our evolution and where we are today. 

Many of these resources are under construction or are in need of a refresh. 

You may also notice that some things feel like Ascent and other pieces feel like AscentUP - in some places, that's intentional, in others, it's not.

Day 9: Tools & Systems, Onboarding wrap, 90 Day Goals 

You've made it through week two! 

Today, we'll start to wrap up onboarding and  build familiarity with some of our tools and systems. You've already been directed to some of the systems we use so you've seen them but today is your chance to just explore. 

Then we'll start to look at your goals over the next 30, 60, and 90 days. 

This is where the rubber starts to meet the road...yay!

Company 101: Who is Ascent?

This folder contains some resources from some lunch and learns. There are two 30-minute videos on the hstiroy of Ascent - parts 1 and 2 and you'll also find a cool downloadable PDF of info.  

What is College Confidential?

Did you know that Ascent also owns an asset called College Confidential? It's an online forum and community where students, parents, and educators can discuss things like college admissions, applications, financial aid, and so much more! Users often share insights, advice and support as they navigate the complexities of applying to school. 

Student Loans vs. Consumer Loans

Did you know that private student and consumer loans are different? Did you also know that our Career Education (aka and formerly Bootcamp) loans are actually consumer loans? This lunch and learn video is a high level overview and history lesson, brought to you by our legal, compliance, and product teams.

Ascent offers a handful of student loan products for our college audience. This 30-minute video and downloadable resources covers what we have to offer. 

Paying for College 101

This 30 minute video and downloadable resource is a high level overview of paying for college and covers the ins and outs of federal vs. private student loans. 

Business Development Sharepoint

This folder contains a handful of helpful resources like program guidelines, product information, and standard operating procedures.  

Namely

Namely is our HR Hub. It's where you can access org charts, employee information, and where you will manage stuff like benefits, paychecks, time off, etc. 

At Ascent, they also use the board feature in Namely to share important updates and information. It's something you'll want to make sure you check in on a few times a week. 

Expense Reports

You can use this typeform to submit expenses. If and when expensing comes up, we will talk about it. There are a few different forms and tools to use for expenses.
